New album release 2/25/09!

Hey guys! CDJapan's got D's new album descriptions up:

Type A - includes DVD with music video of a new song
Type B - includes DVD with digest footage from Bara no Yakata
Regular Edition - comes with an application card (?)

They all come with trading cards, as usual. ^^ But can anyone hazard a guess as to what the application card could be for?

And new costumes ~~ !
Asagi reminds me of the evil queen in Disney's Snow white. Lovely!

I think Avex enjoys messing with us. "Let's put out three versions of EVERYTHING AND THEIR MOM." Cuz they do it with nearly EVERYONE on their label. I'm into this artist named Katou Kazuki, and ever since he moved onto Avex, it's been nothing but three version releases. And it's quite bothersome, because most of the time if you don't buy one, you're missing out on a privilege.

And since it's being released so close to Snow White, I don't really know if I'm going to buy all three. Since I just spent an arm and a leg to get Snow White. And previous to that, I spent my entire paycheck on Versailles' new singles, getting caught in their little game of trading cards. But I won't go into that.

I probably will buy at least one version for now, and the rest later.

I think I might wait to buy ANYTHING until the financial crisis is over. The swedish crown is very low right now so everything's become crazily expensive.
I just bought Versailles Prince & Princess ( Kamijo edition ^o^ ) and it cost me a fortune for just one single! Makes me kind of mad...

^ Not to be all pessimistic or anything but by the looks of it, it might take *months* for the economy to start healing. And before that things are going to get worse. @__@ The US isn't doing to well and when we crash, we're going to take everyone else down with us to an extent. I doubt it'll be quite as bad as a lot of economists are making it out to be, but it's still going to get intense for the next few months to years. As an aside, though, the yen is gaining on the dollar and I don't know how long it will be before it'll bounce back, so I'm thinking the sooner we purchase these singles/albums as they're released, the cheaper they'll be (for the time being). That's just my reasoning, though. ^^

Needless to say, I went ahead and pre-ordered type B. I'll usually collect two versions of 3-type singles (at least) since they're generally cheaper, but I usually only go for one version of every album. We'll see if Type A has an awesome PV, though, that just might convince me to get another copy. @__@ And so long as the regular edition doesn't come with any extra songs I think I'll be good. ^^ (Here's to hoping nothing super awesome is in the other two versions I won't be getting, lol.)

the financial crisis is a problem for me too, the romanian lion is now really low, it would cost me even two times as much to buy it /._.\
I'm seriously determined to buy this album, let's just hope we'll have luck with money XD

XD I will whatever happens buy the album, not sure about Snow white.... I bought too much stuff this year... and now, christmas presents are eating my money! I always wish for CDJapan gift checks for christmas present though (but I never get one >__>)

But anyway...

So now that we've got almost 100% complete confirmation about the fairy tale thing, what other tales do you guys want to see on the album? This was also discussed in one of the LJ communities but we can expand upon some ideas here if you guys want to. I have a good bit of faith on whatever they decide upon, but I want to see some Beauty and the Beast thrown in there.

How deep do you think they'll go into Grimm's tales?

As for the tales thing, it would be interesting to see a theme going on the album. On Neo culture, you could see the different influences from around the world, so this one could have fairytales as theme.

Beauty and the Beast sounds awesome, makes me think of Yami yori kurai... (and so on), when they did their take on Phantom of the Opera.

I think Sleeping Beauty could be pulled off somewhat nicely too. I can see it in front om me, Asagi swooping around some sleeping blonde little Miss Caucausian. Yes, that would be lovely!
But hopefully, they''ll not only do Disney's tales. I hope they dig up some dark european fairy tales from nowhere that no one's ever heard of!

Lol, that's true XD Even if he would try hard enough, he still wouldn't be able to get ugly. Asagi, you just don't have what to do about it XD

Interesting that you mention this, since I went on a link-clicking spree a few days ago and looked into a bunch of famous and not-so-famous fairy tales. Turns out that several of the more obscure tales were told to me by my mom when I was little, only they had a Romanian, rather than German, flair to them. Nevertheless it was exciting to stumble upon them by sheer happenstance.

New album's called "Genetic world."

Type A comes with the PV for Nocturnal. Type B comes with the off shoot and Bara no Yakata highlights. And of course type C comes with just the album.

Words with (?) I'm not 100% sure on because there were different meanings or readings.

EDIT: I actually think it's something like "Meteor~Time of dreaming~"
